Residential Real Estate

In domestic premises, it is assumed that the Occupant will notice any breakages or excessive wear quickly and will take precautions and repairs as needed.

Industrial & Commercial

The ‘Electricity at Work Regulations 1989’ apply to commercial and industrial installations, and formal arrangements for maintenance and interim routine checks (as well as periodic inspections) are necessary; there should also be facilities to accept wear-and-tear reports from users of the premises.

The frequency and type of these routine checks will be determined solely by the nature of the premises and should be carried out on a regular basis.
